Argentina Trout Fishing
Patagonia, Argentina Ending season, May 23.
Last May we were fishing the Famous Limay river , Located in Neuquen Province. We set our head quarter in Piedra del Aguila town. (20 minutes from the fisheries) Between April to May, Huge German browns come to spawn from Chocon lake. That is the right moment to catch the biggest trout in northen Patagonia. Weather was rainy, however light wind allow us to cast comfortably.
"Big flies for big trout" it's a phrase I share. Heavy tackle is necessary to manage the wind, and 8 inches size flies. White streamers were successful. Fishing journey is starting, River welcome us 4 times up he's normal level. Strongcurrent and wild trout make the fishing a challenge.
Fishing is not easy but the prize is enough to guarantee you that next year we'll be there again. Now, awaiting for opening Season in November ,best time for trophy Rainbows Looking forward to see you again. – Lucas Darsie
